DES MOINES, Iowa (November 18, 2024) Bud & Mary’s, a family-owned and operated cannabis business was recognized by Easterseals Iowa as Corporate Volunteer of the Year on November 14th. The 2024 Annual Celebration was hosted at the Downtown Des Moines Marriott Hotel and attended by around 400 people to recognize the accomplishments of community partners, clients and team members for the fiscal year.
Bud and Mary’s were one of eight Easterseals’ supporters that were awarded as community partners that have gone above and beyond to support the organization’s mission of 100% equity, inclusion and access for individuals with disabilities, families and communities.
Lucas Nelson, President of Bud & Mary’s and Easterseals Iowa’s Board member was in attendance of the Annual Celebration on Nov. 14th and stated, “We are honored to be recognized as Corporate Volunteer of the Year by Easterseals Iowa in support of their mission. Our contribution to their organization highlights our dedication to our core values of empathy and expertise, using our science-driven approach to create premium cannabis products for medical consumers while giving back to Iowa communities.”
Bud and Mary’s vape brand Batch launched an All-In-One (AIO) OC vape product in October as part of their AWARE-N-US initiative, which is focused on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and providing financial support to diverse stakeholders and underrepresented communities. A portion of the revenue from the Batch AIO OC vape product sales is being allocated to Easterseals Iowa. The Bud and Mary’s Iowa team has also volunteered at Easterseals Iowa the past few years with multiple times this year at their facility to upkeep their grounds and garden. They have spent time with clients to offer their expertise and have attended and participated in charity fundraisers such as the Admiral’s Gala.
