Bud and Mary’s Launches First Live Resin Cannabis Product in Iowa Medical Market
(January 9, 2025, Des Moines, Iowa) – Bud & Mary’s, a family-owned multi-state operator with decades of plant-science experience has launched the first cannabis live resin product in the Iowa medical marijuana market. Starting January 10th, Bud & Mary’s will offer strain-specific live resin under their best-selling vape brand Batch Extracts to add to their portfolio of cannabis concentrate products.
Bud & Mary’s Batch Live Resin may be an effective and attractive product for Iowa’s cannabis medical patients for the following reasons. The small batch live resin will feature hand-picked cultivars chosen for their unique terpene profiles. The extraction process effectively preserves the plant’s natural flavor profile for a clean, pure and potent product. This includes freezing fresh cannabis flower before it is cured and then using a heatless extraction method to extract only the desirable plant compounds such as THC and other cannabinoids and terpenes. This may be the closest to cannabis flower that patients can get since flower products are not allowed for medical patients in Iowa, with a consumption method of vaporizing that may be healthier than smoking.
Patients can store and keep the freshness of the live resin with Batch’s innovative POP-sealed packaging, a child-resistant food grade jar. The POP-VAC technology is designed to preserve quality and flavor by locking in terpenes and potency with an anti-migration design that keeps the product in place for preserved texture and consistency.

The company also plans to actively participate in the Iowa cannabis legislative sessions in February and will participate and sponsor a Rally Against Cancer event on Jan. 25th. Bud & Mary’s is also Iowa Easterseals’ 2024 Corporate Volunteer of the Year and will present Easterseals with a donation check on January 17th.
